Beachcomber Newspaper Names HD Orthodontics Best in Long Beach
Long Beach, CA – The Beachcomber, which shares news from the Greater Long Beach area, recently held its 15th Annual Best of Long Beach contest. Readers were asked to vote for who they thought was the best in several different categories. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Heather Desh received the most votes for best orthodontist!

In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children see an orthodontist for the first time around their seventh birthday. While the majority of children do not require early (Phase I) treatment, seeing them at age seven allows the orthodontist to evaluate whether any significant problems are present which would benefit from being treated early to reduce severity and simplify treatment later on. Even when early treatment is not required, seeing children at a young age ensures we can begin orthodontic treatment at precisely the right time to have the most impact and ensure the best smile.
